2004 NPC All South Championships

The 2004 NPC All South Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships,
the last national qualifier for 2004 in Florida, was held at the Pedro
Menendez High School Auditorium in St. Augustine on November 13 under
the promotion of Gene Schlossberg and the World Gym of St. Augustine
and Southern Muscle Plus. ..... ..... Two veteran competitors walked away with the overall wins in bodybuilding. ..... .....
Lee Banks, 33, of Jacksonville captured the lightheavyweight class win
by scoring all first place votes from the judges and went into the
final comparisons and pose down and took a majority decision for the
overall title. ..... .....
Nekole Hamrick, 34, of Orlando continued her win streak after winning
the 2004 NPC Florida State on September 18 by taking the heavyweight
class by a unanimous decision and after the final comparisons and pose
down once again took all first place votes for the unanimous win. ..... .....
The Fitness Division had two entries and it was Cheryl Reiser, 44, of
Port Orange taking a three-round total of 18 points for the overall win. ..... ..... The Figure Division had a total of 20 athletes competing with 8 in the short class and 12 in the tall class. ..... ..... Veteran competitor Jeannie Colesanti, 31, of Jacksonville took a two-round total of 15 points to take the tall class win. ..... ..... Jeannie then went into the final comparisons and was the unanimous choice of the judges for the overall title.

Promoted by Frank Dalto and Bart Berling the 2004 NPC Florida Gold Cup
took place on November 13 in the William T. Dywer Auditorium in Palm
Beach Gardens. ..... .....
Richard A. Long took the lightheavyweight class win and after the final
comparisons and pose down was the choice of the judges for the overall
title. ..... .....
Dina Diana was unopposed in the lightweight class and was the solitary
entrant in the women's open and was declared the overall champion. ..... ..... The Figure Division was divided into four height classes and Susana Oatmeyer was the choice of the judges for the Class A win. ..... ..... Susana went into final comparisons and once again was the favorite of the judges and took the overall title.

2004 NPC 25th Annual Gainesville Championships

The 25th Annual NPC Gainesville Bodybuilding and Figure Championships
were held on December 11 at the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium in
Gainesville under the promotion of John Babb, and his Gainesville Gym
along with Clovis Watson. ..... ..... Frank Sapienza, 42, of Gainesville took all first place votes from the judging panel to take the middleweight class win. ..... .....
Frank then moved into the final comparisons and pose down and once
again collected all first place votes from the judges for the overall
win. ..... ..... Ava Hughes, 39, of Gainesville was competing for the first time and was unopposed in the lightweight class. ..... .....
Ava went into the final comparisons and pose down and collected all
first place votes from the judging panel for the unanimous victory. ..... .....
The Figure Division had three athletes competing for the title and it
was thirty-one-year-old Michelle Smith of Gainesville taking a
two-round total of 11 points for the overall win.
