2004 NPC Alabama State Championships

The 2004 NPC Alabama State Championships were held on August 28 at the
Lafayette Plaza Hotel in Mobile under the promotional efforts of Jason
Greene. ..... ..... The husband wife duo of Mike and Jan Horn made history by taking their respective division overall titles. ..... .....
Mike Horn, 39, of Mobile was unopposed in the superheavyweight class
and after the final comparisons and pose down was the unanimous pick of
the judges for the overall title. ..... .....
Teresa Nabors-Paschal, 45, of Albertville was unopposed in the
heavyweight class and after the final comparisons took the overall win
by a unanimous decision. ..... .....
The Figure Division was divided into three height classes and it was
Jan Horn, 34, of Mobile taking the tall class title with a two-round
total of 10 points. ..... ..... Jan then went into the final comparisons and was the pick of the judges for the overall win.

2004 NPC Mountaineer

The 2004 NPC Mountaineer, under the promotion of Roger Morrison, was
held on September 25 at the Farthing Auditorium on the ASU campus in
Boone, NC and attracted competitors from both Carolina’s, Virginia,
Alabama, Georgia and Florida. ..... .....
Thirty-one-year-old Patrick Lewis of Asheville, NC faced five tough
competitors to take the middleweight class win by receiving the
majority of first place votes from the judges. ..... ..... Patrick then moved into the final comparisons and pose down to take a one-point (8 - 9) decision for the overall win. ..... .....
Roslyn Maglione, 35, of Concord, NC, the 2004 NPC Metrolina champion,
dominated the middleweight class by taking the win with a unanimous
decision. ..... .....
Roslyn went into the final comparisons and pose down and once again
took all first place votes from the judges for the overall win. ..... ..... The Figure Division was divided into three height classes with a total of 15 athletes competing. ..... ..... First time Figure competitor Millie Wood, 27, of Benson, NC took a two round total of 15 points for the short class win. ..... ..... Millie then went into the final comparisons and took all first place votes from the judging panel for the unanimous win.

2004 NPC Greater Hollywood Championships

The 2004 NPC Greater Hollywood Bodybuilding and Figure Championships
were originally scheduled for Saturday, September 25, but due to a
relgious holiday was rescheduled for Sunday, September 26. ..... ..... Two days out the approaching hurricane forced the cancellation of the event at the Hollywood Performing Arts Center. ..... ..... The promoter, Dana Klein, rescheduled the event for October 30. ..... ..... James Gibson was unopposed in the middleweight class and went into the finals to take the overal win. ..... ..... Donna Amaya was unopposed in the Figure Division.

Katherine Nieto was the favorite of the judges for the Class A win and
after the final comparions was once again the pick of the judges for
