2004 NPC XTreme Fitness and Figure Championships

The inaugural 2004 NPC Xtreme Fitness and Figure Championships was held
at the Orlando Expo Center on May 30 in conjunction with the Xtreme Pro
Challenge IFBB Men’s Pro Bodybuilding Championships under the promotion
of James Goad. ..... ..... Rebecca Thieneman, 19, of Tallahassee was competing in her first fitness contest and was unopposed. ..... .....
The Figure Division had four classes with entrants and it was Rebecca
Thieneman taking the Class C title with a 2-round total of 11 points. ..... ..... Rebecca moved into the finals and was the unanimous pick of the judges for her second overall win of the evening.

The 26th Annual NPC Southern USA was held on April 10 at the Edgewater
Beach Convention Center in Panama City under the direction of Florida
West District Chairman Patrick Sporer. ..... .....
Veteran competitor Roger Ferrer, 35, of Miami faced tough competition
in the middleweight class against 9 top athletes and emerged as the
class winner by a unanimous decision. ..... ..... Roger then moved into the finals and was the pick of the judges for the overall win. ..... .....
Fifty-two-year-old Melba Davila of Miami, who the previous week took
the overall at the 2004 NPC Capital City Classic in Tallahassee, took a
2-point (7 - 9) margin of victory for the lightheavyweight class win
and after the final comparisons and pose down was the choice of the
judges for the overall. ..... .....
The Fitness Division had three entries and twenty-nine-year-old Gina
Crum of Tallahassee continued her win streak, Gina won the 2004 NPC
Capital City Classic in Tallahassee the previous week, by taking all
three rounds by a unanimous decision to take the title. ..... .....
The Figure Division was divided into four height classes and it was
first time competitor twenty-three-year-old Diane Stewart of Panama
City taking Class B by a unanimous decision and then moving into the
finals to take the overall win.

The 11th Annual NPC Metrolina, the first show of the season for North
Carolina, was held on April 24 at the A. L. Brown High School
Auditorium in Kannapolis under the promotion of Roger Morrison of
Morrison Productions and Nutrition Warehouse. ..... .....
Forty-year-old Thurman Campbell of Snow Hill took a one-point (9 -10)
win over Ned Fretwell of Wake Forest for the lightheavyweight class win. ..... ..... Thurman went into the final comparisons and pose down and emerged with the majority of the judges votes for the overall win. ..... .....
Roslyn Maglione, 35, of Concord, was making her contest debut and took
the middleweight class win by a three-point (6 -9) margin and moved
into the finals to take the overall victory by a unanimous decision. ..... .....
The Figure Division was divided into three height classes and first
time competitor Erin Beller, 26, of Huntersville and Angela Gallo
Wilkinson of Charlotte were tied with two-round totals of 19 points for
first place in the short class. ..... ..... The highs and lows were added back into the scores and Erin Beller emerged as the class winner. ..... ..... Erin then went into the final comparisons and was the unanimous pick of the judges for the overall title.

2004 NPC Center State Fitness & Figure Championships

The 2004 NPC Center State Fitness and Figure Championships, the first
ever solo NPC fitness and figure event in Florida, was held on April 24
at the Imperial Swan Hotel and Suites in Lakeland under the promotion
of Michele Amidon and John Albritton. ..... ..... The inaugural event did not attract any fitness competitors. ..... ..... The Figure Division had a combined total of 31 entrants with 7 in the open; 19 in the novice; and 5 in the Masters. ..... .....
The open division was divided into three height classes and
twenty-six-year-old Michelle Walker of Gibsonton was making her first
contest appearance and took the short class win with a 2-round total of
14 points. ..... ..... Michelle then moved into the finals and after the comparisons took a two-point (7 - 9) decision for the overall win.
