The 2002 NPC Southeast Florida Bodybuilding and Figure Championships
were held on December 14 at the Manuel Artime Theater in downtown Miami
under the promotion of Jorge Rodriguez and The Edge Personal Training
Center. ..... ..... Marcos Espinal, 28, of Miami took the heavyweight class win and the overall championship for the men. ..... ..... Melba Davila, 53, of Miami was the pick of the judges for the heavyweight class win and the women's overall. ..... ..... In the Figure Division Cindy Forsyth-Martinez edged out Christina Butler for the overall win.

Southern Muscle Plus and promoter of the Ancient City Classic, Gene
Schlossberg of St. Augustine, joined forces to promote the first annual
All South Championships. ..... .....
This national qualifier was held on November 2 at the Pedro Menendez
High School Auditorium in St. Augustine and drew competitors from as
far away as Missouri. .....

Mackey,
27, of
St. Petersburg
faced
a field
of 6
other
outstanding athletes for the lightheavyweight class title and
emerged
as the
pick
of the judges for the class
win. .....
..... Karl then moved into the
final
comparisons
and posedown
to take
the overall
title
by a
unanimous
decision. ..... ..... Veteran competitor Tara Guzman, 39, of Seminole, was the choice of the judges for the lightweight class win. ..... .....
Tara moved into the finals and took the overall win by a one-point (9 -
10) decision over heavyweight Nekole Hamrick, 32, of Oveido. ..... ..... Lynn O’Kane, 28, of Orlando was unopposed in the Fitness Division. ..... .....
The Figure Division had five entrants and thirty-two-year-old Tammy
Jones of Middleburg took the majority of the judges votes in rounds one
and two to take the division title.
