-City of birth: Sak-Su-Ni, Korea

-Current city of residence:  Chitown

-Career:  At this moment I am an aspiring writer.  I freelance for Associated Content and Examiner.com as the Chicago Bridal Fashion Scene Examiner.  I am working to get my writing published in print and am currently trying to get one of my children books published.  Although I’m a CPT and Pre/Post Natal Specialist in weight training I am not training clients at the moment.   Oh, and I shouldn’t leave out my many waitressing gigs.

-Marital Status:  Married

-Children: A 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy

-Siblings:  Oldest of five (off the record, my biological father loved the dark haired ladies)

-Age: 34

-On season/offseason weight: On season 124 off season 135-138

-Best physical attribute:  My shoulders and back.  I am a firm believer you can buy everything else; but a shapely defined set of shoulders and strong back have to be earned.

-Were you athletic as a child?
Yes, I played many sports.   Gymnastics, soccer, tennis and softball were sports I participated in.  I even bowled.  Yes, bowled and it was great fun.

-Have you gotten family support for your athletic endeavors as a child and today?
How has that support or lack thereof impacted you?
My parents were big believers that kids should be active in sports.  They thought it was good for socialization, as well as, keeping fit and fighting off boredom.

My dad was very supportive when it came to competing.  He knew I wanted to do it for years and said the diet is only three months of my life so if I didn’t enjoy it don’t do it again.   My mother, on the other hand, is old school Korean.  She thinks “real” women should start having babies right out of high school.  She also prefers everyone to be on the heavier side so this was not an endeavor she was supporting.

My husband was surprised when I told him I was going to do a show but was very supportive and would like for me to do another figure competition.

As for making a negative or positive impact, either way it’s all good. I’m very strong willed and once my mind is set on something I believe it will happen in some way or another.
-When did you begin competing?  Actually, Oct 10, 2009 was my first and only show.  I have been training for years but getting on stage in one of the most subjective sports can be very rewarding and traumatizing at the same time.

-What is your competitive record? I did not place but it was a very educational experience.

-What are your competitive goals? As for my competitive goals...I would like to do a show, or even two a year.  I’m not sure where it will lead me but I love a good adventure.

-What motivates you to compete? On a superficial note, nothing is better than being a hot mom at the beach.  People will stare at the kids and question whose they are.  I like to keep them guessing.   Honestly, I love to train so I could never stop, regardless of doing a competition.  I even like the way gyms smell.  Sweat, grime and calluses can be very attractive.

-Most memorable experience in the sport to date? At the time, I had not competed and went to a show in Atlanta and the guest posers were Gunter, Lenda and Ronnie.  I was moved by them and the competitors.  I watched these beautiful well oiled machines march across the stage and was completely enamored. I had a new found respect for the sport.

-Special recognition or thanks to anyone?  A definite thanks has to go to my husband Josh who put up with my crankiness and to Shawn Bellon who helped me with my diet. A special thanks goes to my kids because two or three times a week they would put on my heels, stand in the living room and do quarter turns with me.

-Available for modeling? Yes. I have never done it but modeling could be another exciting adventure.
