-Were you athletic as a child? yes. I was a cheerleader, gymnast and runner.
-Have you gotten family support for your athletic endeavors as a child and today? Yes. How has that support or lack thereof impacted you? It helps motivate me to continue because not only do I not want to achieve my goals but I want my family to be proud of me as well.
-When did you begin competing? August 2009
-What is your competitive record? I placed in all 6 shows that I competed in this season
-What are your competitive goals? I would like to put on some muscle mass this winter and work towards competing in a National Show.
-What motivates you to compete? I really enjoy exercising and I am very self-motivated. My alarm goes off every morning at 4:15 and I am at the gym when the doors open at 5 to get my work out in before going to work. It gets my heart pumping and my energy level up and the day is off to a great start. For competing, I am motivated by the changes I see in my body while I am training and I am also very motivated and inspired by other friends who also compete.
-Most memorable experience in the sport to date? Winning the 1st place Masters trophy was awesome but some of the second places were great too. Another exciting evening was when all 3 of the competitors on our team won 2 trophies each! Team Body Architect rocks!
-Special recognition or thanks to anyone? Thanks to my husband Brett for all his love and support and to my trainer, Brian Garcia for all the assistance in providing and helping me with my exercise routine, posing, and nutrition.
